Gregg Named Cubs' Closer
Chicago manager Lou Piniella has chosen right-handed pitcher Kevin Gregg over right-hander  Carlos Marmol as the team's closer this season.  Piniella said he will use Marmol in the setup role.

Cubs Still Unsure On Closer
Chicago manager Lou Piniella said he would "flip a coin" when asked who his closer was going to be this season.  Right-handed pitchers Carlos Marmol and Kevin Gregg have been competing for the job.

Koskie Calls It Quits
Cubs third baseman Corey Koskie has decided to retire after experiencing dizziness during a game Thursday.  Koskie was attempting a comeback after repeated concussions forced him to retire in 2006.

Cubs third baseman Corey Koskie complained of feeling light-headed after diving for a ground ball during Thursday's game against the Seattle Mariners.  Koskie has had a history of concussions which forced him to retire during the 2006 season.

Piniella Names Marshall Fifth Starter
Left-handed pitcher Sean Marshall will begin the regular season as the Chicago Cubs' fifth starter, beating out right-hander Aaron Heilman.  Marshall finished 3-5 with a 3.86 ERA last season for the Cubs.
