O's Name Guthrie Opening Day Starter
Baltimore manager Dave Trembley announced right-handed pitcher Jeremy Guthrie will be the team's Opening Day starter April 6 against the New York Yankees.  It will be Guthrie's second consecutive Opening Day start.

Orioles Shut Down Johnson
Baltimore pitcher Jim Johnson has been shut down for at least a week with discomfort in his right shoulder.  The right-hander said the pain is identical to the impingement syndrome that put him on the disabled list for the final five weeks of last season.

O's Uehara To Miss Start
Baltimore right-handed pitcher Koji Uehara suffered a strained left hamstring in Monday's game against the New York Mets and will miss his next scheduled start.  Uehara injured himself covering first base in the second inning.

Baltimore left-handed pitcher Mark Hendrickson was scratched from Wednesday's scheduled start with a sore back.  The Orioles expect Hendrickson will be available in a couple of days.

Orioles' Hill To Miss Start
Baltimore pitcher Rich Hill was scratched from a scheduled Sunday start with a stiff left elbow.  The Orioles said the move is precautionary and Hill will be re-evaluated on Monday.
