Rangers Cut Catalanotto
Texas released infielder/outfielder Frank Catalanotto on Wednesday.  The move allows the Rangers to keep outfielder Andruw Jones on the roster.  Catalanotto is owed $6 million over the next two years.

Texas released 36-year-old right-handed pitcher Brendan Donnelly on Thursday.  Donnelly posted a 7.50 ERA this spring.

Texas third baseman Michael Young left Tuesday's game against the Seattle Mariners after aggravating his left quadriceps.  The injury does not appear to be serious.

Texas inked left-handed pitcher Jimmy Gobble to a Minor League contract on Saturday.  Gobble was released by the Kansas City Royals on Friday.

Jones Will Stay With Rangers For Now
According to a Sports Illustrated report, outfielder Andruw Jones will put off his decision whether to leave the team.  No new deadline has been set.  Jones' contract stipulates that he could opt for free agency if he wasn't added to the Rangers' roster by Friday.
