Chicago White Sox Spring Training Wrap 2009
With less than a week remaining in Spring Training, players and managers across the Major Leagues are no doubt ready for the exhibition games to end so the real games can begin.  This certainly seems to be the case for the White Sox, who have lost their last three games by a combined score of 23-5 and have lost six out of their last eight.

White Sox Name Buehrle Opening Day Starter
Chicago manager Ozzie Guillen announced that left-handed pitcher Mark Buehrle will be the team's Opening Day starter April 6 against the Kansas City Royals.  It will be Buehrle's seventh Opening Day start.

ChiSox's Ramirez Injures Knee
White Sox shortstop Alexei Ramirez was removed from Monday's game against the Los Angeles Angels after colliding with catcher Mike Napoli at the plate.  Ramirez limped off the field favoring his left knee.

Danks Declines ChiSox extension
Left-handed pitcher John Danks turned down a four-year, $15.5 million contract extension from the White Sox.  ''I don't want to come across as greedy,'' Danks said. ''I'm anything but that.  But [agent Jeff Berry] said if we wait, things can get better. I'm going to take his word for it. I just hope it works out for me."

Buehrle To Miss Start
White Sox left-handed pitcher Mark Buehrle will not make his scheduled start Thursday against the Arizona Diamondbacks, but the team downplayed the move.  ''Buehrle is fine,'' manager Ozzie Guillen said. ''We have a different schedule for him right now. I expect him to be ready for the start of the season."
